Wild Precious Studio is an on line art journaling and mixed media art community for Spiritual Creatives.

Effy, what do you mean by ‘spiritual creatives’?

Spiritual Creatives are those for whom the making of art (what we call ’arting’ around here) is an act of devotion, meditation, offering, prayer, or contemplation. For us Spiritual Creatives (or EssCees for short), arting is a sacred activity that brings us into conscious contact with the divine as we understand it. While this site has a spiritual component it is completely unaffiliated with any particular religion, denomination, sect, creed, or set of principles. All are welcome here, including atheists, pantheists, deists, theists, panentheists, agnostics, mystics, gnostics, monotheists, polytheists…you get the picture. The focus is on the spirituality of art, and what we do here is art with spirit. If that sounds like something you’re into, you are most welcome to join in!

Advertising without permission is absolutely forbidden. You are welcome to post a link in your profile, or use your on site blog to write about your project, workshop, website, giveaway, program, or other non-Wild Precious related endeavour, but anyone using our forums, activity stream, photo stream or video stream to promote their stuff will be removed from the site after one written warning.  If you have something you’d like to promote at Wild Precious, ask Effy. We have very reasonable ad rates, but ad space is only available to active participants. Group facilitators are compensated for their time with special advertising privileges, so if you’d like to volunteer to run a prompt group or free tutorial workshop, please send a written proposal to effyswild@gmail.com. Please note that first priority is given to active participants within the site.

Reporting Spammers and Abuse is encouraged. If you see something on the site that you feel might be spammy or in breach of our terms of service, you are encouraged to PM either Jeanette House or Effy Wild with a link to the item and we will handle it. This is your sanctuary. We welcome your assistance in keeping it safe and secure for our members.

What happens at Wild Precious, stays at Wild Precious. No, we’re not quite Las Vegas, but we do have intense discussions around personal truth, abuse recovery, addictions, spiritual challenges and triumphs, and other topics that are best had in a safe environment. Sharing what you read here with anyone who is not a member is a breach of our trust.

We have a few more rules, since living in community requires that standards of behaviour be explicitly expressed, but they are fairly basic. Once you’ve joined us,  please read our terms of service before diving in! Please note that by participating in the site, you are acknowledging that you’ve read our terms. Thank you!
