I’m a beginner journaler, and I think having a dozen creative people lead classes, all in one place, is awesome.
What a wonderful opportunity!! As a newbie, this class with exposure to many teachers with so much to share is wonderful! this lifebook idea sounds awesome! Just the idea of a chance to win is even more awesome! Life book is something I think will go on giving long after the year is up – it’s not everyday that a person has a chance to celebrate who they are and the spirit inside of all of us that we just don’t let the “real” world see. Life is a journey and sometimes it’s scary… life book is a chance to take a wee bit of time and care and just be “safe” to find our hidden selves and even dance a little in the sun spots (when no one is watching)… (glitter optional) :-)

Oh Effy, such a difficult question. I think what I’m looking most forward to with Life Book is to learn techniques, tips and tricks from so many incredibly talented artists. To spend a whole year with amazing people exploring and developing my own style of art journaling.

It would be awesome to have something to look forward to every month during a whole year and at the end see the evolution in the journal that has been created and bound.
To me Lifebook will be an experience unlike no other, especially from the perspective of a newbie in the mixed media world. The opportunity to watch and learn through a community of such talent, and not only that but the encouragement and love/care that each person enstows in their work… its just a truly inspiring journey that anyone would be blessed to be a part of!

I’m exited about this chance to do my first e-course created by one of my fave artists and with many wonderful teachers, especially you Lady! The fact that you will be doing the course the whole year along with the rest of us is also exiting. There is so much to learn. The possibility of not only having the chance at LifeBook, but also to do the Elements course is even bigger still, as I missed it the first time around and have been so inspired by the beauty in the works of all the women who took it the first time around. i’m super excited that is is a long-term project that will keep me interested and invested. i also like the fact that there will be different people teaching their own techniques. i appreciate the fact that there are different ways to approach techniques, materials and even teaching methods, so i am looking forward to what everyone has to offer.

I am so looking forward to this next year. I have had my share of hell for the past few years and have found myself hiding from all of the discomfort and procedures and surgeries. The absolute best thing about this workshop is that the instructors will be students right along with everyone else for most of the year. Amazing women forming a circle through every season. Who wouldn’t be thrilled to partiipate?
I first read about this class yesterday and as I’ve continued to think about it the thing that I’m most excited about is that taking it is effectively giving myself permission to create art on a regular basis solely with the goal of understanding myself better. There is something so comforting in that commitment. Knowing that this will be a journey that so many gifted artist will be leading is also fantastic. Being able to see this process through so many different pairs of eyes will truly be a gift for us all I believe.

I don’t know about anyone else, but lately, I’m feeling like I am asked to justify every moment of creativity I have. It’s weighed up, as though if I take an hour for myself the world will screech to a grinding halt. As though it’s somehow selfish or mean to let my heart soar and dance.
But wow, I imagine doing a year long course and it’s like a giant neon sign saying that someone has put a whole lot of work into this (well, 15 someones!); they’ve put their hearts and their souls into this creation and I’ve made a promise to honour their efforts for the whole, entire year. I have been working on the Elements with Effy & our tribe. Next I will work with Effy & Stephanie in a further attempt to find my path in the present.
My muse/intuition side of me has been pulling/pushing me towards a spiritual side, goddesses & the elements. It has not been easy as I am learning very slowly to listen to my inner child.

This year has been such a great year of learning about myself through art, now I really need to add some more skills, so I would love love love to take this class!!!!! So many artists to learn so many skills from !!!! Thank you so much for this giveaway!!!
I would be most excited for having an excuse to take time to do art each and every day! All of the wonderful teachers would be the best motivators in the world!
Effy, I would love to have a spot in this course, for at least 2 reasons. One being that I crave learning more about techniques, materials, and styles through lessons with such fabulous teachers. Second because I feel like I’m to a point of great transitions with my life. I have recently become an empty nester. I have been a single mom for most of my daughters life. She will be 20 in 6 weeks. I have been focused on raising her and getting her educated. Also have been working on my fixer upper of a house for several years. I have not had a relationship or even a serious date in over 12 years-so, yeah, time for some personal growth. I think that’s what I’m MOST Excited about. xo michelle
What a wonderful year long course this is going to be.
Next year my youngest child starts school and I will finally have some time to follow my bliss, to put more time and energy into finding myself and learning from a variety of talented and inspiring artists. :D

I am so excited for this course! I want to take it so badly – it looks like a year of healing through art, which, wow, would be so wonderful. And I love that the teachers are taking the course from each other as well – how tribe-alicious is that??

I am MOST excited about THE ART – Goddess the art… I can write, and I can paint, but I have never mastered the art of blending them into some stunning visualization of my soul. Sigh… I would kill to be able to make pieces like that.
