Response to Lifebook NEWS and FANTABULOUS GIVEAWAY! ~ CLOSED

  1. I’m psyched about devoting time to digging deep and getting back in touch with the me that’s been in hiding for a couple of really tough years. From my work in The Elements of Art Journaling, I learned that I sometimes create visual art and only when it’s done find out what my soul was trying to tell me. Here’s to more!

  2. OOOOO, yummy, I’m excited to have a new teacher every month, and of course because you and Tam are teaching. And the thought of giving myself a whole year to play and create art about me and my life…
    whoot, whoot!

  3. I’m a beginner journaler, and I think having a dozen creative people lead classes, all in one place, is awesome.

  4. What a wonderful opportunity!! As a newbie, this class with exposure to many teachers with so much to share is wonderful! I am going through major transition period in my life, so this class sounds perfect for me right now. I am especially entranced with the additional offer of your class, Elements of Art Journaling AND art journal by YOU! I have just been browsing and came across an older post on your blog with a sketch of an owl in a tree that really speaks to me for some reason! I love it! Thanks again for all that you do :)

  5. Oh my….excited i cannot contain myself at the thought of being in the draw for this glittering giveaway!…..the lifebook programme looks soo amazing..and more EOAJ… and a journal mix media’d by ‘EFFY’….wow the goodies feel like they must be shared! With that in mind I think it is the journey of ‘self discovery’ and the growth that is bound to follow from lifebook which would be shared longer term..as I beleive we tend to give out to others what we nurture and develop in oursleves…however i have a selfish unadulterated excitement at the thought of ‘stroking’ and arting in a custom designed journal by Effy! alongside an opportunity to continue with the elements which has brought so much transformation into my life already! …these all excite me so much xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  6. this lifebook idea sounds awesome! Just the idea of a chance to win is even more awesome! Life book is something I think will go on giving long after the year is up – it’s not everyday that a person has a chance to celebrate who they are and the spirit inside of all of us that we just don’t let the “real” world see. Life is a journey and sometimes it’s scary… life book is a chance to take a wee bit of time and care and just be “safe” to find our hidden selves and even dance a little in the sun spots (when no one is watching)… (glitter optional) :-)
Effy is a facilitator in helping each of us find our muse and I’m thrilled she is part of Lifebook.
    Ang

  7. What’s not to be excited about? It’s the most awesome event of the year. A year long art workshop with Tam and all the other fabulous teachers. We not only get to learn from them but also art along with them all year long.
Plus Elements…OMG! And an journal by the Amazing Effy herself…TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
Pick me … pick me …

  8. I am so excited about all of it. 1- It’s got amazing artists that I adore and admire 2- It’s mixed media! 3- Tam is running it 4- There are amazingly awesome healing themes 5- ITS A YEAR LONG. I have been wanting a long course to come out for ages. This is just too much to handle!

  9. Oh Effy, such a difficult question. I think what I’m looking most forward to with Life Book is to learn techniques, tips and tricks from so many incredibly talented artists. To spend a whole year with amazing people exploring and developing my own style of art journaling.

  10. Ooooh yay !
I was excited when Tam finally released the list of contributors.
It would be awesome to have something to look forward to every month during a whole year and at the end see the evolution in the journal that has been created and bound.

  11. To me Lifebook will be an experience unlike no other, especially from the perspective of a newbie in the mixed media world. The opportunity to watch and learn through a community of such talent, and not only that but the encouragement and love/care that each person enstows in their work… its just a truly inspiring journey that anyone would be blessed to be a part of!

  12. I feel so grateful that you are holding such an amazing giveaway effy!! I would be soo happy about winning! I think what i am looking forward to the most out of life book is not only all the amazing teachers, but the art and healing. I know my soul could use some healing and i am craving it :)

Thank you so much for this opportunity!! Hugs, brandy

  18. I’m excited to learn more about my core essence, who I am, and what makes my heart sing by participating in this amazing journey. :)

  19. What I love about this Life Book course is that you grow as a person as well as growing as an artist. Both of these things seem very important to me right now and I love how this will be working with the Life Book course.

  20. I’m very excited about this class. I’m familiar with some of the instructors, and I know they are awesome and give 100% to their students. I would love to have the chance to work on “celebrating and honoring” myself, while learning new way cool art journaling and mixed media techniques. Thrilling!

Squee back at ya and flinging glitter in hopes of winning. :)

  21. The coming year will be one full of transition, growth and soul searching for me; and i really believe this course will majorly help me through what i fully expect to be a very challenging year.
On top of that… A year with Tam and 15 other amazing teachers, including Effy, what is not to be exited about??? :) Love..

  22. I’m exited about this chance to do my first e-course created by one of my fave artists and with many wonderful teachers, especially you Lady! The fact that you will be doing the course the whole year along with the rest of us is also exiting. There is so much to learn. The possibility of not only having the chance at LifeBook, but also to do the Elements course is even bigger still, as I missed it the first time around and have been so inspired by the beauty in the works of all the women who took it the first time around. I’ve never been lucky, hope this time around I’ll be.

  23. Oh wow, what a wonderful give away :-)

I am so wishing to be able to do this course, it sounds just amazing. Fantastic teachers, a year long and different inspirations each month, just love the whole idea.

  24. I am excited by all the mixed media goodness! There are so many great elements here and the magic of bringing them all together really speaks to me. Thanks for the chance to win such an incredible prize!

  25. I would be so excited to have some structure and inspiration. I feel I am lacking in both. I love working as part of a class, it brings out the best in me.

  26. This is such a beautiful group of women who are going to be teaching, it’s so nice to feel such “good” energy and love in a world so askew.

This is such a awesome give away, I have to admit It would be over my, just learning, head. But what a fabulous thing you guys are doing. I am so glad to have met you and am happy to get to know you better. Many blessings Namaste Tina

  34. I am so looking forward to this next year. I have had my share of hell for the past few years and have found myself hiding from all of the discomfort and procedures and surgeries. 38. I first read about this class yesterday and as I’ve continued to think about it the thing that I’m most excited about is that taking it is effectively giving myself permission to create art on a regular basis solely with the goal of understanding myself better. There is something so comforting in that commitment. Knowing that this will be a journey that so many gifted artist will be leading is also fantastic. Being able to see this process through so many different pairs of eyes will truly be a gift for us all I believe.

  97. I don’t know about anyone else, but lately, I’m feeling like I am asked to justify every moment of creativity I have. It’s weighed up, as though if I take an hour for myself the world will screech to a grinding halt. As though it’s somehow selfish or mean to let my heart soar and dance.

But wow, I imagine doing a year long course and it’s like a giant neon sign saying that someone has put a whole lot of work into this (well, 15 someones!); they’ve put their hearts and their souls into this creation and I’ve made a promise to honour their efforts for the whole, entire year. It’s like having an iron clad ‘get out of the mundane’ card for an entire year!

  98. hi Effy,
I have been a huge fan of Tams’ and so excited to meet you. I love your message of “you ARE good enough” Art journaling has helped me heal and grow. Im Soo excited to meet more of my people!

  104. I have been working on the Elements with Effy & our tribe. Next I will work with Effy & Stephanie in a further attempt to find my path in the present.
My muse/intuition side of me has been pulling/pushing me towards a spiritual side, goddesses & the elements. It has not been easy as I am learning very slowly to listen to my inner child.
I feel 2012 will be my year of moving toward the ‘butterfly’ stage of my life. At 60 years old I believe the time is right. Consequently, The Lifebook truly feels right for me. The next move toward ‘me’..& who I really have been, but have never met her.
    TY

One being that I crave learning more about techniques, materials, and styles through lessons with such fabulous teachers. Second because I feel like I’m to a point of great transitions with my life. I have recently become an empty nester. I have been a single mom for most of my daughters life. She will be 20 in 6 weeks. I have been focused on raising her and getting her educated. Also have been working on my fixer upper of a house for several years. I have not had a relationship or even a serious date in over 12 years-so, yeah, time for some personal growth. I think that’s what I’m MOST Excited about. xo michelle

  112. What a wonderful year long course this is going to be.
Next year my youngest child starts school and I will finally have some time to follow my bliss, to put more time and energy into finding myself and learning from a variety of talented and inspiring artists. :D

  119. I am so excited about the workshop, and I really want to register for it. I think what excites me the most is that is a year-long experience! Wow! How can you NOT learn and grow as an artist with such a class!? So exciting! Thanks for offering this!

  120. Happy Birthday!
Well how does anyone pick just one thing?? As I am relatively new to art journalling, I’m excited by every aspect of this workshop! The chance to learn so much from so many talented people is truly-ooly awesome!

  121. I am trying to link to facebook but my pc keeps freezing on its site. I will try again later.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, hope you have a great one.

  122. I LOVE the fact that so many wonderful artists are involved with this class. I look forward to learning from everyone. I have already been exposed to some incredible artists that I have not known about. Thank you for the giveaway.

  123. I am MOST excited about THE ART – Goddess the art… I can write, and I can paint, but I have never mastered the art of blending them into some stunning visualization of my soul. Sigh… I would kill to be able to make pieces like that.

    Yours,
    Megan
